HUD accepted comments through October 2 on its draft TRACS 203A MAT Guide for multifamily HOTMA implementation; the comment period is now closed. The draft does not launch the software release or change the published January 1, 2027 compliance date. Owners and software providers should watch for HUD’s next step.
PHADA reports that HUD staff announced plans to extend Multifamily HOTMA compliance to January 1, 2028. Formal HUD guidance remains pending. Most PHAs retain a January 1, 2027 deadline, with separate timing for Moving to Work agencies and qualifying Family Reporting Software users.
