WinnCompanies Completes Preservation of Historic New York Affordable Housing Community

WinnCompanies has completed an $86 million rehabilitation of Evergreen East, a 508-unit affordable housing community in Fairport, New York. The three-year project included gut renovations of 489 apartments, rebuilding 19 fire-damaged units, major infrastructure and accessibility upgrades, and the creation of 26 ADA-accessible apartments. The recapitalization uses federal and state tax credits, public subsidies, and private financing to preserve and expand the community’s affordability for at least 40 years.
