HUD has announced the sponsors and exhibitors for its 2026 Innovative Housing Showcase, which will bring full-scale manufactured, modular and 3D-printed homes to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., from September 22–24.
The sixth annual showcase will operate under the theme “Made in America” and focus on housing technologies and construction methods aimed at expanding housing supply, reducing construction costs and improving housing affordability.
The event is free and open to the public.
HUD announced five sponsors for the 2026 showcase:
International Code Council
Manufactured Housing Institute
National Association of Home Builders
Rocket
Structural Building Components Association
The organizations represent several parts of the housing industry, including building codes, manufactured housing, homebuilding, housing finance and structural building components.
HUD also announced a broad lineup of exhibitors representing builders, manufacturers, universities, research organizations and housing-technology companies from across the country.
The exhibitors include companies and organizations working in manufactured housing, modular construction, 3D printing, building materials, off-site construction and other emerging housing technologies.
Among the participants are Champion Homes, Azure Printed Homes, Cavco Homes and UMH Properties, Florida International University, Housing Innovation Alliance, National American Indian Housing Council, Reframe Systems and several national laboratories.
The Structural Building Components Association will participate as both a sponsor and exhibitor.
The showcase is designed to give policymakers, housing professionals and members of the public an opportunity to see emerging housing technologies firsthand.
HUD says the event will feature full-scale manufactured, 3D-printed and modular homes built by American companies.
The technologies being highlighted are intended to address some of the fundamental challenges affecting housing production, including construction costs, speed of development and housing supply.
The event will also include interactive exhibits and expert-led panel discussions.
HUD first announced the 2026 showcase's “Made in America” theme in July, saying the event would focus on American builders, manufacturers and technologies that could help expand housing supply and make homeownership more attainable.
The September announcement provides the finalized sponsor and exhibitor lineup as the event approaches.
For affordable-housing developers and housing organizations, the showcase provides a look at construction methods that could increasingly influence how housing is designed, financed and delivered.
Manufactured and modular construction can shift portions of the building process into controlled factory environments, while 3D-printing and other emerging technologies are being explored as potential ways to reduce labor requirements, material waste and construction timelines.
The Innovative Housing Showcase will take place on the National Mall between 7th and 12th Streets.
Public exhibit hours are:
Tuesday, September 22: Opening ceremony at noon; exhibits from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, September 23: Exhibits from noon to 6 p.m.
Thursday, September 24: Exhibits from noon to 4 p.m.
Educational panels are scheduled for September 23 and 24 and require registration.
HUD expects thousands of visitors, including members of Congress, housing-industry leaders and community stakeholders.
